What is in a name?

As the name would suggest, Mushroom House Automotive, started out as an actual mushroom house! Farmed by generations of the Webb Family, it served the Cecil County Community for over 40-years until it was converted into an automotive repair, body shop, and pre-owned vehicle sales center.

The Fire...

In the early morning hours of December 13th, 2006, the proprietor was awaken by the shop alarm. To his dismay, the shop was fully engulfed in flames. Caused by an electrical fire, it devasted the entire business. The building with all of the equipment burned to the ground. It destroyed 12-vehicles, including 7-classic cars in Mr. Webb's collection. Being under insured tough decisions had to be made on to wheter to start over and rebuild the business, or walk away.

With support from his family and the community, the decision was made to rebuild the facility and start serving the great community of Cecil County Maryalnd once again.

Rebuilt...

Mushroom House Automotive was rebuilt from the ground up incorporating all the modern automotive technologies to provide the best maintenance and body services available.

The shop is restaffed with ASE Certified Mechanics. In addition, the inventory of pre-owned vehicles, which are inspected by our mechanics prior to being available on the sales lot, offer a reliable used vehicle that fits any budget.

Shop Manager

Archie Singleton II joined the MHA family in Fall of 2021 bringing it from a part-time shop to a full-time vehicle maintenance and repiar shop.

He has over 30-years of automotive mechanic experience working in a variety of shops including dealership, independent, restoration and IHRA/NHRA/PDRA drag racing.

The MHA office displays memoribilia from Archie's NHRA years when he was with Terry McMillen's Amalie Top Fuel Dragster and Cruz Pedregon's Snap-on Tools Top Fuel Funny Car, including a Wally from the 2013 Summer Nationals in Las Vegas! Come by and check it out!
